Low Light / Night Shooting (Advanced)

Service Description

Students with previously acquired knowledge of handgun safety, handling skills, and shooting fundamentals can enhance their ability with proficiency and confidence. Students are required to meet a certain level of firearm safety knowledge and skills to attend this training. Learning to shoot effectively with flashlights, the students can tactically identify a threat and illuminate the dangerous area without compromising their own safety. An introduction of illumination equipment (Laser, Night Sight, Handheld Flashlight & Mounted Weapon Light, etc.) helps students select suitable tools for their needs. Different methods of handling a flashlight and a handgun simultaneously will result in different comfort levels and opinions of choice. The students will try multiple techniques including Harries, FBI, Neck Index, Side by Side, Stacked Hands, Palm Squeeze, etc. Learning the tactical concept of “Getting Off the X” is critical when shooting with illumination. As a result, a technique known as “Shoot & Move” is also introduced in this course. Equipped with mounted weapon lights, the students learn to identify their targets in reduced light environment and operate the mounted illumination device while shooting at the same time. To strengthen shooting ability even further, students will learn to safely shoot targets at close distance in darkness with no lighting. This 5-hour unique shooting training is not only exciting but also extremely useful for defense in low light situation. The training is specifically designed for those students who take self-protection seriously, such as home defense, personal protection/CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon), defense/tactical training, shooting competitions, security professions, and even law enforcement training. Certificate of completion will be issued to each student that completes the training. Note: The fee does not include firearm, ammo, range fee, and RTP (Refresher Training Plan).
