Service Description

These curriculums are approved by Orange County Sheriff's Department, the State of California. The training objective is to meet the requirements of Penal Code 26165 and the Sheriffs Policy 218, which includes classroom portion of training, handgun live fire training, and shooting qualification. Initial : Total 16 hours (8-hour of virtual classroom & 8-hour in the range) $425 (Group Class) Renewal: Total 8 hours (6-hour of virtual classroom & 2-hour in the range) $275 (Group Class) Students with previously acquired knowledge of handgun safety, handling skills, and shooting fundamentals can enhance their ability with proficiency and confidence for the purpose of CCW/Concealed Carry Weapon. Students are required to demonstrate firearm safety and proper firearm use skills to attend this training. If a student is unable to safely handle a firearm with poor marksmanship, it is strongly suggested that Handgun-1 be taken before the live fire training in the course. The Virtual Classroom portion is conducted by Zoom live video teaching. It consists of PowerPoint Slides, Videos, Pictures, and explanations which are focused on related general firearm laws, SB 2, OCSD policy 218, situational awareness, mental health, firearm safety, handgun shooting skills, CCW equipment and selection, handgun basic cleaning and maintenance, etc. The shooting training includes handgun shooting fundamentals review, properly draw and shoot from holster, rapid fire, etc. Certificate of completion will be issued to each student that completes the training. Note 1: The fee does not include firearm, ammo, and range fee. Note 2: Both Initial & Renewal training fee include three handguns for shooting qualification. $ 30 is charged for each additional firearm for the qualification.
